Savannah - Julia Gibson Beasley, 80, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at her daughter's home after a short illness in Tillman, SC. She was born in Bartow, Georgia, daughter of the late Walter C. Gibson and Liza Williford Gibson. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Beasley was a longtime member of Avondale Missionary Baptist Church for over forty-five years and retired from the Specialty Department from Union Camp Corporation after 33 years of service. She enjoyed fishing as well as baking. Her husband, Charlie C. Beasley preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Leonard C. Beasley of Spartanburg, SC; daughter, Linda B. Mace of Tillman, SC; grandchildren, Sean Beasley of Richmond Hill, GA; Ryan Beasley Las Vegas, NV; Dale Williams of Wrightsville, GA; Ronald Williams of Bluffton, SC; Julie Williams, Tillman, SC; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, 2009 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel with Reverend Georgia Barron officiating.

Funeral: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2009 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.

Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
